"Light painting" is exactly what it sounds like- creating art through the usage and manipulation of light, as well as video and photography. While researching leading light artists I came across Patrick Rochon, who has been creating light paintings for nearly 20 years. His process consists of moving and manipulating light, which he captures using photo and video with long exposure times. The overall feel of his work is very surreal. His subjects seem to mostly be figures, but he has dabbled in abstract images and he has done some commercial work for car companies.
